TX Says Bath Salts are Dangerous

A state ban on a product called bath salts goes into effect Sept. 1. Authorities said it’s a product some use as a cocaine substitute.

Bath salts made headlines recently when a man was charged with injury to a child. Police accused him of ingesting the product and then going crazy July 18 at a Galveston Walmart. The Pasadena man was accused of shaking a woman’s shopping cart and of trying to topple it as it carried her 1-year-old child.
