EXCELLENT COMMENT! Probably my favorite so far on any article posted here.

The truth of the matter is the imperialism and dare I use their own word "New World Order" is all about Anglo-American hegemony. The pursuits in Asia needed a pretext but the objective is simply a continuation of the Brits 19th century Great Game...

I believe England still has more way moxie than Twiggy and the Beatles. According to Wikipedia BAE Systems is the world's largest defence contractor as of 2008. British owned. Their acquisition of American owned defense corporations within the past decade is unbelievable. In light of our enormous defense budget it seems that we are now lining someone else's garter belt with some serious dollar bills. I fear we may be nothing more than a mere colony, sub-emperical if you will. I wonder if our servitude is the role of becoming the scapegoat for the continuing expansion of the British Empire.

A month ago my son and I were rummaging through the magazine recycling dumpster and happened upon the book Our New Possessions -The Philippines -Puerto Rico- Cuba -Hawaii. (1898 Trumbull White) It's funny to me how very forward, dare I say honest, we were with our intentions to "go a-pioneering in our new posessions". Provided for all an understanding of the resources, conditions, flora and fauna, mineral wealth, industry, agriculture and oppourtunities which existed in these 'possessions'. (a.k.a. A guide for educated exploitation) Hey at least they were being honest and cordial about the whole thing. As debtors to the British Corporation's for our Defense infrastructure we now seem to be throwing our anchors on everybody's beach and making up some story on the spot about wanting to help people (Haiti), build schools (Afghanistan), exterminate the Axis of Evil (S.Korea) restore flooded homes (Pakistan) save the butterfly's and sea turtle's from the drug cartels (Costa Rica). You know what they say "The debtor is slave to the master" So who are we really serving the people of these countries or our debtor's?
