Ralph,

I posted this because it is far from being a "waste". I would agree that "a man who cannot keep and enjoy the fruits of his labor is a slave." Unfortunately, the myth[?] that the Constitution serves to protect our freedom, as Mullen persuasively argues here, quite obviously has failed in doing so--as anyone with eyes can see from "our" government's actions. The sad state of affairs is that we are slaves, and not even the basic right of habeas corpus has been ensured. We can ague whether it was designed to protect property, but as we can see in current events, it isn't protecting our property...in any sense. Not only are we slaves to this run away government, but it seems, our children will also serve the debt that "our representatives" have shackled us to in perpetuity...if that isn't an illustration of our servitude, I don't know what else could convince you.

This article was pretty much of a waste. A man needs lawful protection to keep the fruits of his labor? Says who? A man who cannot keep and enjoy the fruits of his labor is a slave. That seems to have already been understood by those who wrote the Constitution. It was a given.
