I just returned from Haiti with Hebler. We flew in at 3 AM Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.
Port of Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact. Ours was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble. There are easily 200,000 dead, the city smells like a charnal house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers money. The ones I ran into were either incompetent or outright anti-American. Most are French or French speakers, worthless every d*mn one of them. While 18oo rescuers were ready willing and able to leave the airport and go do our jobs, the UN and USAID (another organization full of little Obamites and communists that openly speak against America) These two organizations exemplared their parochialism by:
USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper and a host of other left wing news puppies to land.
Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and His wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.
Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn’t release a drop of it to the rescuers.
No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and Decon equipment, as well as air-conditioned tents.
Few people understand what really happened in New Orleans or what caused it. Fewer still realize that they too may be living under a similar or an even greater threat. This video exposes the key myths and misunderstandings about the New Orleans flood.
Thousands of people – mostly children, elderly, the handicapped, and those who stayed behind
to look after them – were stranded for a week exposed to the elements for a week without food, water, or medical care.
The cause?
The failure of federal levels built and maintained at the cost of billions of US tax payer dollars.
The party responsible – the US Army Corps of Engineers – did everything possible to shift blame
from itself including bribe an Engineering Society with $2 million in “awards” to write a technical review favorable to itself.
We just discovered another tactic they used.
While thousands were stranded without help and then for years after, Corps employees masquerading as “citizens” posted hundreds of posts to news blog in New Orleans and elsewhere making personal attacks on Corps critics and blaming the victims for being “stupid” enough to trust the levees and live near them.
If you live in the US, your tax dollars paid for this operation.
The Times-Picayune which was aware of the real identity of the people making these attacks permitted them to go on and is now helping shield the Corps by refusing to turn over its Internet logs.
I guess this is what they call a “government-private sector partnership.”
In the personal and private writings of Harry S. Truman, he says, “I don’t think there’s ever been a president who really did damage because he wanted damage to be done. I don’t think any of them willfully and maliciously tried to get the country in trouble…”
Looking back over the last eight years we can see what Harry could not have believed. Starting with Enron, the theft by manipulation of billions from California’s utility payers, this administration has willfully and maliciously done just that and more.
After the utter fiasco of 9/11, when the finest air defense system in the world stood down just long enough for the Vice-President to have to confirm the order to stand down in an emergency of unprecedented proportions, the “Patriot Act”, a one-foot thick stack of legal documents that abolished most of the Bill of Rights appeared overnight. No one assembles a foot-high stack of documents without preparation and, dare I say it, premeditation.
