In less than five minutes Mr. Paul teaches what 13 years of public education failed to teach. They don’t teach fidgeting little kindergartners that the Pledge of Allegiance came from a socialist before they ever lift their chubby little hands to their heart for the first time. In high school, the history teachers fail to point out what secession really is when they open watered down history books that decry the secession of the southern states. In this day and time the concept of being “American” seems to require the opposite of liberty – rather, it implies a bovine mentality where the herd willingly follows the leader over a cliff.
I like Mr. Paul’s instructional manner and respect that he’s not jumping up and down, pointing a finger and raving.
