Occupy Seattle Ramps Up Despite Threats From Mayor

The 5th day of Occupation in Seattle’s downtown Westlake Park attracted hundreds by the end of the day, despite the threat of a police crackdown from the Mayor’s office.  When the 10 pm deadline that had been given to take down the tents had come and gone with no police crackdown, the occupation was further emboldened- with numbers of participants reportedly doubling in a single day.
