The Columbus Dispatch printing company’s (CDPC) website has a tab to list their coverage of the Federal Races with the heading, “Road to Washington, News and notes about the campaigns of candidates seeking federal offices,” such as Ohio’s 12th Congressional Race. This past month there were 90 posts under this category, and do you know how many times the 12th Congressional Race was mentioned?
In fact, the last time challenger David Robinson was mentioned in this section was back on August 26 with a post entitled, Air Robinson
First, take a minute and watch the video:
The printing company then went on to describe the video this way:
David Robinson is facing an uphill battle in his race to unseat four-term Republican Pat Tiberi in the 12th Congressional District but the Columbus businessman has got a pretty clever video spot that should give voters a few laughs.
In a spoof of an Air Jordan ad, Robinson makes one incredible slam dunk at a Columbus community center. Still, viewers are not likely to mistake him for the NBA and Olympic Dream Team great with the same name.
A few laughs.
Whatever. They’re just a printing company after all.
The CDPC was correct that is was a spoof as they mentioned, but it was actually a spoof of an Air Robinson ad since the basketball player had the 12th Congressional candidate David Robinson’s same name.
So, CDPC, do you get it?
